Introducing Project Management

November 15, 2008 by Voicebox

This is where the project gets held together and we deliver to CLG what we said we would.  This work stream includes: the co-ordination of the work of consortium partners and the two-way communications between partners; financial monitoring; communication with CLG and overall project reporting; levering additional funding (cash and in-kind) from sponsors and supporters.

Using BTWorkspace for a project nicely at the moment, might be worth considering as a PM tool.

Thanks for the tip, Fraser. We are currently investigating Google Sites as a virtual project management office… it is terrifically versatile but needs quite a lot of customisation, as opposed to tools like Basecamp which work out of the box but can be a little restrictive!

If you’d like to talk more about using these technologies to collaborate, do get in touch!

I’d avoid Basecamp. I’ve used it for a recent project and found it didn’t come up to expectations.
