Welcome to Voicebox!

November 15, 2008 by Voicebox

Voicebox is the site through which we are going to be managing the public face of our project to tender for the digital mentors fund from the Department for Communities and Local Government.

We need your help to make our bid as strong as possible, so please let us know your thoughts on our various work package streams and inform us of what you can offer using our Contribute form.

Please do get involved and help us give an online voice to disadvantaged communities!

The UK online centres bid team are really looking forward to our meeting in London tomorrow (19-Nov) between 12:30 and 14:30 at Abbey Centre (Room 4),
    34 Great Smith St, Westminster, SW1P 3BU.

If you’d like to be there, and you haven’t yet let us know you’ll be coming, please drop me a line.

    See you there!

    Ben

Thanks to everybody that was able to make it to the pre-meeting meeting yesterday. I think that both meetings helped me to get my head around what digital mentoring is and should be a little more, and I look forward to continue working with you all as the bid develops.

Here is a link to photographic proof that we were all working hard: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3040/3042909749_0a5e3b518f_m.jpg

And for anyone still wanting to join in the debate, please do tell us about your organisation and what experience it can share by using the ‘Contribute’ button above, or by posting a comment next to any of the work packages that takes your fancy.

Dave Briggs’ blog at http://www.digitalmentor.org is also great for stimulating debate on how the Digital Mentor inititative should pan out, so please do get involved!

    Ben

Hot off the press. CLG have extended the deadline for the bid itself to mid/late January. This is great news, and will make all of our Christmases be more enjoyable.

New deadline is confirmed on CLG website, in Richard’s slides:
